City Encourages Beachgoers to Help Keep it Clean!
Half Moon Bay, CA - Among the natural treasures that make the City of Half Moon Bay a wonderful destination are its world-class beaches and bluff tops, which are visited by thousands of people throughout the year. During the summer months the number of people enjoying the beaches dramatically increases, including both locals and out-of-town visitors.
Unfortunately, with that high level of use the ongoing problem of litter on the beaches and bluff tops becomes worse and worse.
The summer rush of crowds to the beaches is well underway, and now is the time for all beachgoers to commit to making sure these beautiful places are kept clean.
For everyone planning to enjoy Half Moon Bay beaches this summer:
People visit this pristine, scenic, easily-accessible coastline from throughout the Bay Area. Half Moon Bay’s message about keeping these beaches clean is extending to everyone who may visit this summer, or any time of year. The City is also putting signage near beach access points to remind visitors that they should help everyone to enjoy the beaches by cleaning up their trash and recyclables from the beach.
Together, the City of Half Moon Bay, the local community, and out-of-town visitors can make sure Half Moon Bay’s beaches and coastal beauty are maintained, and ensure that this world-class destination stays clean, safe, and beautiful for visitors today, this summer, and long into the future.
