Since 1790, the Census Bureau has counted every resident of the United States. Every ten years, questionnaires are mailed to every household to count all who reside here, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, or citizenship. It is critical that the County of San Mateo have as accurate a count as possible, as Census numbers are used to determine Congressional representation and funding for important projects in our local community.
