Class Name: On-line Drivers Education Course (Ages 15+)

Instructor: Economic Driving School - Online

Class description: Students with busy schedules and extracurricular activities sometimes choose to fulfill their state-required Driver Education requirement by taking the course online. The Online Drivers Education course is approved by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Reading, flash graphics, videos, quizzes, and practice tests will prepare the participant to pass the written DMV test. The course is easy to use. Class Name: Tiny Tykes Soccer (Ages 2-5)

Class description: Tiny Tykes is an exciting child development program delivered through soccer. Our soccer and child development professionals have designed an innovative curriculum that takes children on immersive interactive adventures through fun and exciting themes.

Class Name: Canine Good Citizen

Instructor: Marian Pott

Class Description: See www.akc.org/cgc for more information about this American Kennel Club program.  This intermediate level class will focus on the skills necessary to pass testing for the CGC and CGCA.  This program emphasizes foundation obedience with good manners in a public setting, and is open to all people who would like their dog to be a better companion both at home and out in the real world (may also lead to therapy dog work in hospitals, assisted living, school programs, etc.). 

Equipment Each Week: 6-foot leash, any training/flat collar, long training line and/or retractable, treats your dog LOVES, treat pouch, toy.  CGC/CGCA elements will be emphasized along with other intermediate level skills. 

Optional CGC/CGCA test on final day of class: additional $10 materials fee for dogs to be tested payable in cash to instructor.

Class Name: Puppy Kindergarten

Instructor: Marian Pott

Class Description:  Each week we’ll discuss matters pertaining to puppies: feeding, eating habits, housebreaking, crate/confinement, bite inhibition, exercise, play, destruction, etc. Training skills will involve human and canine socialization, sit, down, stays, proper leash walking, recall, leave-it, off, hand signals, all at your pup’s developmental level. Equipment Each Week: Mat (crate-size to fit your puppy’s body size), 6-foot leash, flat/snug fitting neck collar, Ziploc bag with kibble dinner (if they love their kibble) AND/OR treat pouch loaded with yummy meaty/cheesy treats, favorite tug toy/ball, water/bowl.  NO BOWL SHARING!  Optional equipment: crate, xpen, potty pads, chain martingale collar.   DO NOT FEED DINNER BEFORE CLASS.

Eligibility: Puppies 12 weeks to 6 months (for puppies outside of this range, either younger or older at start date, please contact me for eligibility questions).  Young puppies must have had at least a veterinary health check plus 1st set of shots; older puppies must have 2nd set or completion of vaccine regime.  All puppies must exhibit good health before coming to each class.

Class Name: Beginning Dog Training

Class Description: Open to all puppies/young dogs over the age of 6 months and adult dogs with little or no prior training (this is next step post Puppy Kindergarten--contact Marian with any questions regarding age,  temperament, eligibility.)  Loose-lead walking, heeling, sit, down, stay, come, off, leave-it, wait, hand signals, human and dog socialization.     

Equipment: 6-foot leash (no retractables), snug fitting collar (training collars will be demonstrated; bring if you’re already using certain equipment), treats your dog LOVES, treat pouch.

Class Name: Novice Intermediate Dog Training (Level I)

Class Description: Open to all dogs which have completed beginning foundational level of obedience and are ready for intermediate level training.  Ideal for people interested in next steps beyond the basic level of training. Intermediate skills emphasized: recalls, hand signals, distance work, attention, heeling refinement. (Contact instructor if you have a question about training level.)
